I tell my pastor I have been seeking for 6 yrs unto God for his ways and power and rightousness. Of course I belive a man can become perfect, to show Jesus was not needed to be sacraficed. This is how I love the blood. My pastor said you are going down the worng path to pray to God and trust in him. I AM your pastor hear my voice and follow my direction. That is his direct response. See I belieave God can say that it is impossible for him to make me perfect. So I wait and ask for perfection by his hand. God can stop me anytime, but all he does is get my spirit to move forward and fight with the pastor and christians. So if your pastor told you that your prayers to the living God are never going to be answered, or your pastor says that he is the voice of God and to only listen to him not your heart. How the heck am I as a Christian soppose to obey this man? When MY God OUR God, says that I can become perfect, I just have to hunger enough for his rightousness and holiness.

The whole idea you've got about being "perfect" sounds (no offense) really self centered. God changes us to become more "others" centered and through trials, tribulations, etc shapes and molds us into His "perfection." Ask yourself if the desire to appear "perfect" isn't a desire to "impress the bretheren." We cannot live for the praise of men. If we do we are headed down the wrong path in a speeding rocketship!

On the off chance that you are not a troll I would say your really should listen to your Pastor. Nowhere in the Bible does it say we will be perfect in this life. IN FACT it says all have sinned and come short of the glory of God.

You will have to wait until the next life for perfection. Assuming that you get off the road you are currently on and start reading the Bible instead of reading into it.

In the final analysis it not about what YOU believe it is about the Truth and you are falling short.

I they part of the point you are missing that in this none of us will be perfect it is only after Christ returns will we be perfected.

Find the other part of this funny, Fundies also give Catholics a hard time about not just taking the bible only and listening to the Pope but then you have pastors that tell them to follow only them b/c they're the only ones who get the bible

Follow your heart, God will answer your prayers as long as you have accepted Jesus and repented your sins. We can never be perfect on Earth. The Bible does tell us when we die we will be transfigured, that means we will become perfect in Heaven. any man who puts himself above God is not serving God at all but his own self righteousness.

Your pastor wants to play God. Go to a different church where you'll feel more secure and peaceful. It is not good for you to go to a place where you know sincerity is not around. Another thing: We can try to find perfection but it doesn't matter how hard we try, nobody is perfect...just God.

I do not believe a human being can become perfect, but your pastor has no right to say that. If he says that and claims to be a Christian, then you know he's lying.

Your pastor is a moron and I think you realize that too if you look deep enough. He is controlling you. Unfortunatlly, there are control freaks out there and they can be a police office, a politician or a pastor. You need to become more world wise.

Forgive me if I have misunderstood but are you saying that you can become perfect without Jesus' sacrifice. If that is what you are saying, who forgives you for the original sin in Adam?

Whenever a religious leader tells you to follow him and that what you're doing is wrong, run fast in the other direction. No human is the voice of God. He has serious delusions of grandeur. If you're serious about your religion, I'd suggest finding another church.
