It means that you are a prophetic dreamer. I have those a lot.As you may already know, there is a up an down side to these dreams. Yeah, you know the ones that you pray and hope is just a dream.

Well, first of all, it depends on the dream. If it was a gimme--such as I drempt that I woke up tomorrow, shaved, showered and went to work--then, well, it was a gimme.

If it was something more obscure, such as recieving an unexpected visit or package, there may be a bit more to it. Prophetic? probably not. Precognitive? Maybe. And there is a severe difference between the two.

One has to remember that a dream is often a look into the subconcious mind--much like hypnotism. While the conscious mind can forget even basic things quite easily, the subconscious tends to retain things a bit better. (MythBusters tested the theory that a person under hypnotism can remember minute details of a scene that they could not remember while not under).

In other words, I could call you and tell you that I'm sending you a package--then you forget about it. You dream about getting the package, because you knew that it was coming.

As far as actual precognition goes, some people are good at recognizing patterns. Because we see the pattern, we know what's coming next. (For instance, as it stands right now, Guiliani will be our next president...e-mail me, and I'll show you the patterns) Sometimes, the pattern slips past our consciousness, but our subconscious pick up on it. When we dream, the subconcious mind tells us what it can't say over our concious mind.

With all of that said, I still believe that there are time that one has the truely precognitive dream. These are well-documented. Surely a little reasearch will reveal these.

Premonitions, pre-cognition, visions, whatever... gives a whole new light on life being predestined. Mine were usually of nonsense and unimportant events. There was a definite feeling or vibration to the dream... you knew it was one of those that would happen. No control to make them happen... they were random. During the actual event, there is cognition of the dream and the event. Tried to stop one sequence... couldn't do it. Still have events now and then, though the dreams have subsided. Some events were even 10 - 20 years after the dream. It's funny to know that we have free will, make thousands of decisions, move from one city to another... yet there is order and simply knowing that the ultimate control is truly outside of ourselves. God IS in control, regardless of how significant we think that we are.

Personally, I believe we create our own experiences through our thoughts. If you think about an experience enough it will enter your dreams. These dreams can come true and then seem like a premonitions.

In the christian sense, it could mean that you are prophetic, in another sense, you could also be somewhat clairvoyant, either way, it happens to some people quite often.
