First of all, when we get a cold it is usually our bodies telling us we need rest. Stay in bed, stay warm and sleep as much as you can--don't lay there watching T.V.

Second, hydrate; orange juice, tea with honey and lemon, chicken soup, pomegranate juice, are all good along with several glasses of water through out the day.

Third, vitamins; get some Zinc lozenges for your throat, C in mega doses (1000-2000 mg.) and a B complex. Those are the basics, a good multi would help too.

A sauna would be great, as long as it is the dry heat and you can stay in for about 15-20 minutes. Take a hot shower and make sure you bundle up so you won't get a chill.

i always take warm showers when i have a cold and drink tea. So i would think that if makes you feel better then its a good idea if its not drugs. Colds are easy to get rid of if concentrate your energy on quick remedies

i'd say steam room is best. the moist air will help clear your nose. saunas are dry air, so it might make it worse, but i don't know for sure.

~If you have chest congestion, moist air is better. Use a humidifier or take a hot shower and breath in that steam.~
