You mean is Vancouver like Amsterdam right? Vancouver is called Amsterdam West, however that is more hype than reality.

Both are wonderful cities, however what is tolerated in Vancouver is actually legal in Amsterdam...huge difference. I have been to both and have to say Vancouver pales in comparison to Amsterdam.

Visually the two are completely different in every way. You will love both but for very different reasons.
