I'm going to be moving in to a new house and I'm getting the biggest bedroom. I need some tips on how to design it. I want it kind of futuristic so I want bubble everywhere. My favorite colors are pink and white so I want white walls with pink accessories. I was thinking of making all the bubble pink. I was also planning on having a bunch of circular tubes as storage. Any tips on anything??

I would start out with different shades of pink, that way as you go along, you may find one that you like and won't have to worry about whether it matches because it is all kind of "clashy" but as one collection, they all say "pink." You could use mauve-y, peachy, purply, cotton candy, blushy, light, dark, etc just as long as you call it pink. Use a little of every color you find, so one shade doesn't stand out more than the others. I would go with white paint and light wood tones, you might paint something pink, like your closet door. Toss in plenty of neutrals and creamy whites to keep the pink from looking too gawdy.

In addition to colors, I would make sure to have your organizing strategies ready for this room so it stays nice. Plenty of storage, zoned areas for using the room different ways are the top organizing tips. Put some seating in there whether it is a bean bag, some floor pillows, or a nice pair of chairs. Good lighting is a must too.

y not take either 1 or 2 walls & paint pink diff. size circles on u'r wall. Jst use a pencil tied to a string & thumbtack to hold the string on the wall then draw u'r circles. Then u can shorten or lengthen the string for diff. size circles. U can even paint different colors of pink circles as well. If u want the circles to look more like bubbles... take some white paint.. but not 2 mch & paint like a comma @ the 2o'clock part of the circle. Thickest part of the comma down. Sorta like they do in painted cartoons or figures eyes to give them that sparkle in the eye. They may help in making it look more bubbled.

U could make a moble out of CD's to give it that shinny/ reflective when the light hits it from nt or day. I like the circular tubes idea. Go to Frame shops or poster places & ask how they get their posters/ artwork.. most time they get them in tubes of different sizes. U can paint them.. glue them together.. cut them in 1/2 so u have several. U can also cut stars & circles etc in u'r lamb shades then put either tissue or celophane paper over it to give it the color effect.

Go to garage sales/ swap meets/ thrift stores & find old funky lamps.. etc.. if u can't find one for cheap & make sure it works..(ask) then use the gutts to make u'r OWN lamp. It's summer so lots of stores have their summer outdoors things going on.. find a round bowl.. & turn it upside down & make a lamp out of it. U could even make one w/ glue & string. Blow up a balloon & mix glue & water.. take kite string & run it thru the glue mix & keep wrapping it around a blown up balloon. Do the fuller u can make it the better. U can do the whole balloon or 1/2. Put make sure the string is always soaking w/ the glue mix. LEt dry... then pop the balloon ( i forgot.. oil the ballon enuf that the string won't totally stick to it when u pop it) Then b careful .. spray paint & VIOLA!! u have a lamp shade

I hope some of these things help.. Have FUN!
