Swimming is actually BETTER than running or jogging because it doesn't put so much pressure on your joints.

Swimming also give good resistance (almost like weights).

I recommend swimming before running/jogging.

Swimming is a very good way to work out!! The water acts as natural resistance training and you don't put as much pressure and stress on your joints.

There are many classes you can take for aquacizing, as well as many stores that sell workout equipment, like weights, also sell workout equipment that you can use in the pool to help further the resistance.

And contrary to what everyone believes, you can actually work up more of a sweat and get a better cardio exercise in the pool than on dry land doing almost any type of cardio exercise. People don't think they sweat when you workout in a pool, but you do. You just don't feel it since you're wet!

better....have you seen any fat swimmers? Besides it is easier on your knee joints and other skeletal parts. Besides, with swimming, it isn't so easy to stop by a snack bar and grab a munchy.
