is there a universal usb driver or something? or a program that converts old drivers into vista drivers?

is it more simple than that, like turning usb features on or something?

All my USB devices were compatible when I switched to Vista. Did you install Vista on an older computer? That could be the problem. They should be introducing the first service pack anytime now.
