I am a muslim, 22 years old and also a scientist. I strongly believe in my religion and that there is only one God (Allah) and Muhammed (pbuh) is his last messenger.

Everyone is entitled to their opinion. To a previous question I asked, why do people question God's existence, a few replies used science as the answer. My question are to these people and atheists. I am 100% sure of God's existence. I know the different theories based on science where the simplest gene's (where did this come from) mutated to form more complex organisms . If evolution is the answer then how come people have not mutated to become something new?

Therefore, can people answer the question set .When all the proof is out there, atheists believe in nothing, therefore they should have no morals as morals are based on religion and not law. We have a conscience and free will and also a brain, so use it to see the right path. If you believe in no God, then God be merciful once u die.

If you are a scientist, your reasoning is rather poor.

You have said "We have a conscience and free will and also a brain, so use it to see the right path." This is not scientific reasoning. Explain yourself. What convincing evidence do you source to identify the right path?

You also say "I know the different theories based on science where the simplest gene's (where did this come from) mutated to form more complex organisms ."
What are you suggesting here? Is it that because we do not yet know the answer to "where did this come from" that it must be because of a god?

Your faith may be strong, but it is not an explanation to convince other people.

Why does morality come from religion? I do not believe in a god, yet I am honest, charitable, faithful, sympathetic, etc. I have my faults, but on the whole I think that I am a good and fairly wholesome person.

How can you say that I believe in nothing?

How dare you suggest that I am not a moral person because I do not believe in god? How dare you judge me without knowing anything about me? Is such arrogance a hallmark of your religion, or just of you?

What branch of science do you study? It isn't biology, or you'd know that life forms tend to stabilize for periods of time before either a dramatic change of environment or other factor causes either a massive dieoff of once-dominant species or triggers adaptive changes. We call these periods of time "ages." The Jurassic Age, for example.

My morals come from neither religion nor law. Has Allah actually spoken to you? Told you about what's expected of you? Of course not. You were conditioned on how to behave. You also don't need an imaginary friend to tell you that what doesn't feel good if done to you, won't feel good to someone else if you do it to them. The statement that morals come from religion is baseless, and quite disturbing coming from someone who touts himself as a scientist.

So, too, is the statement that "all the proof is out there." What proof? Put some details out there! Provide some links! Or at the very least, make a compelling argument.

I don't believe in God, and I have morals. No, morals are not based on God or law. They're based on our human intelligence, common sense, and empathy for our fellow human beings.
Evolution is the answer, and the reasons humans haven't developed into something "new", is because this is as far as we've gotten so far. Evolution takes millions upon millions of years. You're not going to just wake up one day and *poof*, you've evolved into something new.
You might feel 100% sure that God exists, but that's your BELIEFS. Not everyone shares your beliefs. You say "when all the proof is out there...", well, you show me one single thing resembling proof of a God and then I'll believe.

I am an atheist and I am not the one who is ignorant.

If you claim to be a scientist, you would know the answer to your question:

"If evolution is the answer then how come people have not mutated to become something new? "

I doubt you are a scientist at all.

I would like to correct some ignorant statements you made:
1) You said " atheists believe in nothing, ..." That is not true. Just because atheists do not believe in god/s, it doe not mean they do not believe in other things, like truth, justice, and living a good life.
2) You said " therefore they should have no morals as morals are based on religion and not law." This is not true. Atheists have morals, and morals are not the exclusie property of the religious.

Atheists are not ignorant they are people who are intelligent enough to know that religion is only a means for a few to control the weak minded masses.
If morality is governed by religion then why is there so much killing in the world and why is it that in some parts of the world that be-headings is a spectator event after Friday prayers.
Religion is full of hypocrisy, followers say one thing and do another and you just have to look at history to see how much killing has been done in Gods name to realise how few wars an atheist has started in their own name.

LOL you're a scientist? Either you are a really bad one or you have totally warped your sense of logic to sustain your anti-evolution beliefs. If that tree is growing, why hasn't it grown 50 metres since I last looked 5 minutes ago.

PS. you are also a dangerous bigot. Empathy and altruism, the basis of morality, are clearly universal (except among damaged sociopaths who are the most prevalent in societies with fundamentalist religion like the USA and Middle East) and easily explained by evolution. Even lab mice have some empathy.

You are a liar, and that's the truth about your so-called "ignorance." You cannot be "100% sure of God's existence." You can believe 100%. Until you are willing to admit that, everything you say is invalid. You are also not a true scientist, since you don't even show a basic understanding of the Theory of Evolution. Stop lying, and get back to learning. Did you get your degree from a box of Frosted Flakes?

You know when i read questions that are mean, cruel, or just rude towards Christians, i feel a little sad, and i don't like when we are all put in the same category. It's the same for atheists. A point can be made without insulting someone, or a whole group of ppl. I think the way you have put your question over is a little rude and unnecessary.
Jesus loves you...~~Shalom~~

And I'm supposed to RESPECT the views of stupid idiots like you?

People DO mutate and evolve when the mutation provides a reproductive advantage - sickle cell anemia, different skin colours, the list is endless. Just how ignorant are YOU?
