I thought it was a good movie though the ending was...meh.
Is there a Christian out there who saw and liked this movie?

milomax, yeah there were some parts that were boring I admit. But then, I felt the same about POTC 3.

Wookie, you realize that this movie showed the persecution of homosexuals? Beating one to death with a tire jack, dragging one by his penis until it came off? Yeah, it really promotes homosexuality.

I thought it was sad. They obviously so loved each other and were forced never to be together. It was a love story.
But I bet the Christians focused on the sex part instead of the emotions part.
Edit: Oh, I cried too. When he died, the heartbreak on the other guys face.... oh if I lost the love of my life.... there are no words. I wanted to hug him.

Yeah, I thought it was pretty crappy. The plot went all over the place, and the ending was beyond trite.
I understand that the story had to cover several years in a couple of hours, but maybe Ang Lee could have cut out the ten minute scenes of watching rivers of sheep in order to fill in some of the plot holes.
Jake Gyllenhaal's performance was laughably amateurish, but I thought Heath Ledger did a fantastic job.
That's just my opinion.

i am not a christian, but i loved that movie. it doesnt matter if they were two men or what, the movie showed how much love they had for eachother and that is all that matters. there were some parts that were boring, but most of the movie made me cry. i think that has to be one of the best love movies of all time.

I am not a christian, but i saw the movie and thought it was just okay. I have a male gay friend who loved it. What made me happy was that it was just put out to the public. We need to see the reality of love between gay couples more often. My hope is that the more exposure, the more acceptance...

atheist here. Loved the movie. I love seeing and knowing that men have emotions too, they care and everything is not about sex. I also cried during the movie. I think it is right up there in my "master piece" movie list

I'm not a Christian, but I watched it, and honestly I was bored by it.
Edit to add: Hmmm, in reading the comments, I appear to have missed some scenes... I might have to go back and give it another try.

I'm a Christian and haven't seen the movie but wouldn't have a problem with it, there's nothing wrong with it because its about gay people. I accept gays just as much as everyone else, I love gays just like anyone else, we are all the same, especially when you love someone.

I never bothered to watch it, but I have heard that it was good. I may have been in the hospital when it came on television, because I don't remember seeing it in any listings.
