If it was all in the plan, then why was Jesus necessary?

People use different pretexts to hate others. Nowhere in the New Testament do we read commands to hate, kill, or persecute Jews. Seeing that the entire New Testament was written by Jews-with the possible exception of Luke's writings(he may have been a Jewish Proselyte, no one is sure), that would be a strange command indeed. Part of a misunderstanding may be that the Greek word for "Jew" often actually means 'Judeans' or 'Jewish Authorities', depending upon the context that the word appears in, and this distinction is not often brought out in the different translations, though some of the newer translations do make such distinctions clear. So when Jesus is seen talking about going to Jerusalem at times, his disciples, fearfully spoke of the possible reaction of the "Jews". Being that THEY were Jews themselves, as was Jesus, the word Jews in this context carried with it the meaning of Jewish Authorities( mainly the chief priests and religious officials of Judea) not every Jew in the land of Israel. In fact, we read in the gospels things like "the common people heard Him gladly", and see Jesus being welcomed and sought out by the regular Jewish folk of His day.

God uses the folly of men to even praise Him.
However to understand the history a little better. Herod and the High Priests were in colusion and conspired to put Jesus to death.
1.The evidence is Judas was paid money
2. Jesus was captured in the garden at night and not arrested in the daytime so the crowds could object and riot.
3. Jesus was hailed as a messiah on Palm Sunday !!!
4 A week later crucified. Suspicious, right !!!
5. The Herodian shills cried out CRUCIFY HIM AND LET HIS BLOOD BE UPON OUR CHILDREN. Not exactly a cry coming from an adoring crowd. So this cry did not come from the heart of the Jewish people as a whole. Yet Christians have taken those words and blamed the Jews for crucifying their own messiah. And thus centuries of anti-semitism !!!

I am really going out on a limb here, but I don't think God planned for the Jews to kill Jesus. And, I also don't think that all Jews should be hated simply because a few church leaders couldn't stand the heat from Jesus preaching.
In my opinion (make sure..I said opinion), God does not cause everything to happen nor is he always aware of what man will do. If He were, doesn't it seem just a bit strange that he would plan for man to fall away from Him? That he would plan that one of his angels would defy Him?
I have a very personal relationship with God and I have never sensed that He knows exactly what I will do...but instead tends to lead me in the direction He wants me to go.
The choice however is still mine.
I am not intending to offend those that believe that God knows all and sees the future etc, but that just isn't the message I receive from Him. To me, that fact only makes Him more lovable.

First of all, it was the ROMANS who killed Jesus, not the Jews...it was Pontius Pilate who condemed Jesus, the Jews (His own people) did not actually have a hand in the trial, they were skeptical but did not directly kill him. And God didn't really want to kill His son.. it was a sacrifice really, so people could live and be forgiven of their sins. And remember, it was also the Romans who came up with the idea of taxing the people, so they ain't so good as people may think.

Dojo , Ruby got close. It was indeed the Romans that brutalized Christ to death. But by who's instigation was it ? It was the priests that were put into office by the roman government that instigated it. These priests were at first scribes for the levitical priests. When a levitical priest died or needed replacement the roman government put in the scribe. Were these scribes of pure Jewish decent . NO. Pure Jews were the product of Adam and eve. Cain was not. And it was the decedents of Cain that were the priests at that time who yelled ,..... Crucify him, Crucify him. Now everybody can tar and feather me. But I ain't backin down.

Guess they don't realize it was "in the plan"
What the jews did was not out of a right heart and it was sin, yes... but Jesus died for those sins too. The means don't justify the ends, but what Jesus did on the cross, did justify mankind... also, it was the Romans who did the actual whipping and nailing of Jesus' wrists and ankles to the cross... Jesus forgave them too.

I do not hate the jews- they are God's chosen people. The jews and the romans killed Jesus- oh WAIT A MINUTE- so did I- if it was not for my sin, He would not have hung on that cross. We all killed Jesus- we are the ones that deserved to die, not Him.

I don't know because they need to stop and think that if it wasn't the high priest that was responsible for the sacrifice it wouldn't have been valid. The Jewish people, as far as I am concerned have no shame, as God set up the requirements and it just so happened there were some who were weak enough to accommodate the Devil.

I don't hate nobody! It's a fact that I don't hate the terrorists that killed people in NYC. Because I don't hate my parents that abused me as a child. I tried to, and I learned it does more harm to me.
You got to deal with what is inside to make you right with God!
