So do you guys thing it would be nice to see nascar go to a few different tracks. Maybe switch every year and pick some where new and add a little variety. I'm not talking about taking away tracks that are a staple of nascar. I just wouldn't mind see another road course or a couple different short tracks thrown into the mix.

You're thinking in the past.NASCAR used to have more tracks they raced all over the South, North-east and the Mid-West. Now it's all about "market areas" and tracks in cities that can provide rooms and services to corporate America (who happens to provide the money for the race teams). It's a sad truth, Rockingham, North Wilkesboro and others are just memories because they weren't large enough towns to provide all the amenities corporate America wants. Why were they talking about a track in Washington State? Doesn't anyone check the weather forecast there? It rains there far too often. Why did California get a second race? They couldn't fill the stands for the first race. Answer: market area and of course the France family bought the track from Penske. There are wonderful race tracks all over the country, but most of them can't support the shear number of fans, teams and of course corporate America. I think 2 road courses are adequate since there's only a handful of drivers that are good at them and who wants to watch the same few win them all the time. More short tracks on the caliber of Bristol (not a cookie cutter) just that big (grandstands and spectacle of it all) would be awesome. More like Darlington, Richmond, Martinsville and what about Cup at Kansas too.

A race on dirt would be cool to see but I would guess that it will not happen, sorry.
I think Nascar should expand the tracks but they have to watch and make sure they do not lengthen the season , teams are already stretched Thin. Mexico city would be a good choice, racing in th midwest at Iowa or Milwaukee would be good (Milwaukee can not handle a Cup race now but some modifications can be made). I don't know what Nascar has in mind but it would be nice to see some variety in racing.

If not different tracks, renovate some of the new tracks they built, so they arent so cookie cutter, or take out some of the tracks that do have two races, and only give them 1 (only special tracks, like Daytona, Bristol, and a few others get two), that way, you can expand to areas that dont have NASCAR, maybe add a road course or two.

Nascar has made a great effort to add more night races to the schedule over the past few years and I would agree that a change up of a few tracks every year would keep the schedule more interesting.

I'm really not a fan of road courses, but the Nextel Cup should race at Mexico City. The Busch series has done it the past two years with great success.

I've done both, and cross country is way more fun. It is about 100 times harder though. We work until we are absolutely dead, and then some. In track you work hard too, but distance and sprinting are two way different ball games. I was a short distance runner, and did distance one summer, and i could never go back. You use different muscles and if you don't train for both at the same time, you'll lose your speed, trust me, I did. So basically, I don't think cross country would help you in track. Not that track's not fun, or that it's not hard work, but cross country's hard, but amazing. good luck :]

Definitely. NASCAR has some issues getting a new track made They desperately wanted something in the NY area, Meadowlands NJ area, and other places were mentioned. They want to boost some TV ratings in the biggest TV market in the US and possibly the world. They would love to try something in Canada as well. I think Las Vegas may get a second race in 2008.
