The people who rely on the scripture the most tend to be those who understand it the least. Furthermore, I love when these people misquote scripture, and ave the opportunity to correct them.

My favorite example is when lines like "There's nothing new under the sun," or "Not a lender nor a borrower be" are quotes as coming from the Good Book...
They came from Shakespeare!

Even 2 corinithians 11:14 says he can rework himself into an angel of sunshine. So constrained to a e book, no no longer inevitably so.. because of the fact God is going previous a e book, he's a spirit, a author. And a snake can in common terms cover his genuine self for yet see you later.. because of the fact whats on the hours of darkness will constantly come to the mild. And he provides us awareness to parent the two: the two solid and evil. devil preys on absolutely everyone... in basic terms pray for people who do no longer even comprehend.

Scripture needs to be read with the heart of a believer in order to understand its meaning. I think that often, just to make a point, non believers will quote a verse of scripture out of its intended context.

However, I do not necessarily believe that every word written in the Christian Bible is the unvarnished word of God. Man has played a role in its writing and in its interpretation over the centuries and that alone makes me question its absolute truth.

I have a very personal and meaningful relationship with God...and He has shown me what He wants me to believe and what He does not. The one thing He has taught me above all things...is that I am not to try to tell anyone else what they must believe...but to advise them instead to talk to Him about their questions.

In defense of my fellow believers however, I must add that non believers tend to do the same thing with quotes from high school science books etc. Keep in mind, that in all cases, perception is 99% of a belief.

There is one thing that you are leaving out.......If the scripture that is brought up is not interpreted in the true spirit of which is was meant, according to the inspired Word of God, but by a twisted false doctrine or a corrupt dogma, then there is perfectly good reason to correct it.

The rest of the scripture happens to be irrelevant to what the situation is.

It is usually they don't like what the Bible says. They have a belief not actually based on the bible and when it is shown them it is like major bug bites.

The bible is a great set of books.

There is so much in there that contradicts other parts that you can use it to justify almost anything.
