like im getting at&t soon but dont want to lose all my aim friends, so can i download it somwhere or something??

Yes you can; you end up communicating over the ATT DSL rather than dial up to get to the internet; works the same just faster

the list of people on your AIM etc... are on AOL's servers..

try logging on via another computer, and you'll see.. they magically appear ;-)
