When do you think they will discontinue Hi8/8mm cassettes?

When do you think they will discontinue Hi8/8mm cassettes, because Sony (the only company that made Hi8 camcorders recently) basicly stopped making there Hi8 handycams and how Hi8 technology is now out of date.

I think you are ok with getting tapes for quite a while to come. The prices are not likely to drop, unfortunately. If it concerns you, buy up a case lot or so for your future needs.
