The days of more short tracks than superspeedways.
Iron man drivers running 2 or 3 races a week.

I bet the other makes could do much better if they got better drivers and better teams. Look at Chevy's roster right now. Tony Stewart. Jimmie Johnson. Kyle Busch. Jeff Gordon. Denny Hamlin. Just to name a few.

EDIT: To your edit there, the only Chevy win was Bobby Allison at Islip in a '66 Chevrolet.

Yeah, power steering should be illegal. Bring back the big guns (arms that is), along with big block engines and multiple carbs and skinny tires. Naw, forget the skinny tires. Ford SOHC Motors and real hemi's, good idea, NASCAR nostalgia racing.

At least you who drives what cars. It's not like Kasey Kahne drives a dodge or anything. Especialy a Dodge sponsered car. That would just be too much.
