I've seen some at my school, and she's always wearing a skirt. I don't really know why they do it, and to be honest, I'm downright curious.

Hi! The Bible teaches a distinction of dress between males and females. Since God made the sexes physically distinct, so also should be their clothing. Please note the following:

Deut. 22:5: The woman shall not wear that which pertaineth unto a man, neither shall a man put on a woman's garment: for all that do so are abomination unto the Lord thy God.

I Cor. 11:14-15
14. Doth not even nature itself teach you, that, if a man have long hair, it is a shame unto him?
15. But if a woman have long hair, it is a glory to her: for her hair is given her for a covering.

These passages, among others, establish the principle of male/female distinction.

Trousers (pants), in the West, have been designed for men since the 16th Century. Cavalrymen have worn trouser-like garments since ancient times.

The upshot of all this is that trousers have a long established history as a garment for men.

Pentecostals and other holiness groups believe that any movement toward uni-sex dress is Scripturally prohibited. They believe God abhors anybody wearing clothing which pertains or relates to the opposite sex and, consequently, they preach against it.

Some, but not all, Pentecostal groups insist upon women wearing skirts or dresses because of Biblical verses saying that a woman shouldn't wear clothing that pertains to a man, and vice-versa.

Because in the Old testament, it says a woman should not wear the clothes that a man wear. That is the reason they don't wear pants. Some people don't even wear jewerely so they want to remain simple. Some even covers their head during church because it says that in corinthians.

They believe a woman in "men's clothing" is an abomination in the eyes of God. Given that men and women both used to wear robes and long hair, go figure. But that's it.

I'm a Pentecostal and I don't always wear skirts. Just when I dress up.

Of course, I'm no longer under those chains of bondage. Legalism is BAD!

Conformity to a standard set by their church. In a church I recently visited, all the ladies wore hats.

Modest feminine dress. But there are others who do this too. I am a Catholic and I dress in this manner. It is a personal choice for me.

Because it makes it easier for them to get it on when they are visiting their fellow Pentecostals the ones i know around here all have affairs with each other wives etc...

I saw a question yesterday where a MAN asked why women wear pants because it is a sin. I insulted him because that is stupid. I assumed he was Muslim. Now, I attended an Assembly of God church for over a year and lots of women wore pants. They need those pants because when they are rolling on the floor spouting gibberish we don't want to see their panties now do we!

They Women should not wears slacks or jeans,etc as it is not feminine and is manly.
