heavyweight over 200lbs - cruiserweight 175 - 190 lbs. - middleweight 160 - 168 lbs - welterweight 147 - 154 lbs - lightweight 135 - 140 lbs - featherweight 126 - 130 lbs - bantamweight 118 - 122 lbs - flyweight 112 - 115 lbs - strawweight 105 - 108 lbs - to move up in class you must weigh in at that class minimum weight to compete and maintain the weight limit in that class and it opens the doors for better competition.

I like them, those make more sense than whats out there right now, simple and sweet. Lets start a petition to make these weights happen.

I really don't have any trouble with the traditional weights -- 175 and down for light-heavys, 160 for middleweights, 147 for welterweights, 135 for lightweights, etc. I don't think we need the junior welterweights of the world or superflyweights -- keep the number of champions down.

Two additions, though. Cruiserweight (190 and below) isn't tradition, but is a worthy weight. And since heavyweights today seem to weigh at least 220, I would set up something at 210 and below. It might bring a certain type of fighter back.
