Do psychics say 'who is it '? out of politness if someone knocks on their door?

no it is generally because we dont know who is at the door
we dont tune into everyone , ever minute of the day
our thoughts would never be our own
and that would be very rude and intrusive anyway

No, they say something like, I knew you'd be late..... It was too much fun when I first got caller id, I would answer the phone with "hi _____ how ya doin?", they'd freak out, LOL.....
