When Jesus was on earth, his disciples came to him and asked: "What will be the sign of your presence and of the conclusion of the system of things?" He replied that there would be wars involving many nations, famines, pestilences, earthquakes, an increasing of lawlessness, false religious teachers misleading many, a hatred and persecution of his true followers, and a cooling off of the love of righteousness in many people. When these things would start to happen, it would indicate that Christ was invisibly present and that the heavenly Kingdom was at hand. This would be news—good news! So Jesus added these words as a part of the sign: "This good news of the kingdom will be preached in all the inhabited earth for a witness to all the nations; and then the end will come."—Matthew 24:3-14.

Basically the good news is that Jesus now reigns as our King of his Father's heavenly government, that soon all wickedness will be gone including his enemy and ours, Satan & his demons, and mankind will be given the wonderful prospect of living in perfection forever here on earth without pain, sickness, and death just as God's Word promises.
What a glorious future awaits all who adhere to God's standards and look to his government as the only means of salvation.

It was Jesus mission. He proclaimed the Kingdom open to the humble, sincere, peacemakers, those working on purity and striving against sin. Those than were honest when confronted with the truth. The ones that honored and revered God the Father. He was against hypocrisy, unthankful, unmerciful, those that love the praise of men, religious, and those that used the place of worship and prayer into a chance for financial gain. I think you get the idea. Basically the proud, powerful, and unbelieving miss it or are blind to it and the poor in spirit, needy, meek, lowly, and faithful will be given the kingdom. Just to clarify it- it is now- not someday in the hereafter. Why aren't today's churches doing the job? Jesus said when it was preached to all nations then the end would come. Then He will deliver the kingdom to the Father. Get busy, let's work for the night is coming when no man can work. Tell it to the common people, prisoners, sick, poor, lowly, everyone you know, especially if they are not bound by religion. Gods grace will be on you to heal, save and deliver. God bless you.

Jesus foretold: “This good news of the kingdom will be preached in all the inhabited earth for a witness to all the nations; and then the end will come.” (Matt. 24:14) The good news about God’s Kingdom is of utmost importance. Why, it is the most important message in the world! In over 100,000 congregations of Jehovah’s Witnesses earth wide, about seven million servants of God are engaged in an unparalleled preaching work, telling others that the Kingdom has been established. Its establishment is good news because it means that God has set up a government in heaven to take full control of earth’s affairs. Under Kingdom rule, Jehovah’s will is going to be done on earth as it is in heaven.

Good News = Gospel

We are all born with a sin nature. Sin is what separates us from God. God sent His Son Jesus to pay the penalty for sin. When we place our faith in Jesus (believe in Him) and follow Him we are reconciled to God and will live with God in heaven eternally. This is the gospel, that we can have eternal life with God in heaven through faith in His Son Jesus.
God's Kingdom = Heaven

"Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ and you will be saved." Act 16:31

"And there is salvation in no one else; for there is no other name under heaven that has been given among men by which we must be saved" Acts 4:12

This is the gospel...

1 Cor. 15:1-4
I declare to you the gospel which I preached to you, which also you received and in which you stand, by which also you are saved, if you hold fast that word which I preached to you--unless you believed in vain. For I delivered to you first of all that which I also received: that Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures, and that He was buried, and that He rose again the third day according to the Scriptures.

And this is when it will be preached...
Then I saw another angel flying in the midst of heaven, having the everlasting gospel to preach to those who dwell on the earth--to every nation, tribe, tongue, and people - Rev 14:6

The Gospel ( good news ) is that by dying on the cross Christ defeated death for us. That who ever should believe upon Him ( even if they sin) shall have everlasting life.

I believe it is Bible truths. Thats what Jehovah's Witnesses preach. People just judge right away and don't listen to the message and they miss out.

He also said the kingdom would come in the lifetime of those around him. Unless there are some 2,000 year old dudes hanging around Jerusalem, Jesus is either a liar or misquoted.

The "Good News" (aka "Gospel) is the "Word of God" which is none other than Jesus Christ himself. Jesus is the Good News in that through Him we have salvation.

Father John Corapi says it best....the Good News is not a something...it is somebody. Jesus Christ.
