Well my dog went into heat, she was less active, and kept licking herself. What I did to find out was to whip her backside to see if there was anyblood. Most dogs take care of it themselves. But I had to make a diaper for my dog, beucase she kept on bleeding every where xP.

There "panooch"' will swell, sometimes quite large. They will have discharge, sometimes clear, or pink or drops of blood. She will lick herself and will hump a stuffed animal , the cat, another dog in the house. She may also back up to your foot and twitch her swollen area. One of my chihuahua's gets a little moody and will hide under a chair or be a little nastier than usual.

You'll start to see little "blood" droplets where they were sitting. And of course male dogs in the neighborhood will be noticing...

THEIR VULVA SHOULD SWELL AND YOU SHOULD NOTICE BLEEDING. you WILL ALSO NOTICE A LOT OF MALES HANGING OUT AT YOUR PLACE.
