Goosebumps only appear on areas of the body that can experience extreme cold (like arms and legs) and help to insulate the skin to keep it warm. But the face and head is the warmest place on your body with the greatest blood flow so its the last place we tend to feel cold so we dont need that protection.Thank goodness as we would look hilarious when we got cold wouldnt we?

The hair on our faces is shorter and coarser (and of course, absent in most women). Goose bumps are the raising of the hair.

Also, there's a stronger blood supply to the face, which tends to keep it warmer than the rest of the body.
