I think everyone does at some stage in life. A lot of people just don't realize that they were in fact abused.
Example I had a male friend that told me about his first sexual experience was at 13 yrs old with his 19 yrs old baby sitter. He initially described it as a wonderful bragging story then when I started to question him about it he finally realized after 40 yrs that he was actually raped and fell apart. He had made up a story in his mind and believed it to be true his whole life until he really looked at it.

Those who suffer once often suffer again because they have been damaged. Some find the strength to repel any future attacks. Some are more fortunate because they have never been a victim. I think everyone probably suffers an abusive assault at some time in their life and some recognize it forwhat itis and deflect it before any lasting damage is done.

Abuse has escalated dramatically in the last few years. most people are now very likely to experience abuse, and the numbers aren't getting better, they are getting worse. i was abused, and i'm sure many others are. but i wouldn't say all..there are the lucky ones.
and some don't talk about it ever, so we'll never know how many actually go through abuse

There are very subtle forms of abuse, so I would think this word could apply to much of the long suffering one must experience here and now.

My mom was abusive to me. Still, I wouldn't say that everyone goes through something in their life. There are a lot of people with plush lives from start to finish.

One? All my life I have been abused and until today it has never stopped, do you know why? because I am naive, perhaps stupid, never learn my lesson and always try to step up and help my family and they are the ones that have done this to me.
I have been abused so many times, that I don't have fingers to count them, yes its sad and has shattered me, I am depressed and suicidal.

I think everyone suffers to a more or less extent, I also believe that it is for a reason.
A lot of people are made stronger through
suffering.

No. Not if you are talking about actual abuse where you can call authorities and get someone locked up.
