The reason she won't let me isn't because i'm irresponsible. She just thinks a dog will ruin the house. Everyone in my family wants one sooooooooooooo bad, but she won't let us!! what should I do???

Pay more attention to the little things around the house and if you really want a dog start saving up money research the kind of dog you want figure everything out yourself and then present her with all the information and show her that you have thought of absolutly everything including where it will stay, obedeince training, everything. Good Luck I was in the same situation a few years ago and now have the best beagle ever.

you and the rest of your family should try being responsible; for example: get back home before your curfew, do chores you aren't asked to do (plus the ones ur supposed to do), ask if ur mom needs help with anything, etc. Don't just do this for a little while, do it alot, and don't do it all at once. you might make ur mom think that u are just sucking up. just as a suggestion maybe if ur mom thinks it is a puppy that is going to ruin the house because it hasn't been potty trained, etc., maybe you should consider adopting a dog from a local shelter.

Moms run the house, and you need to respect that. Someday, when you are all grown up, you can get a dog. Right now, just be happy with other things. And remember to love Mom. She has a tough job. She loves all of you and just wants to keep your home nice for you. You will be able to have a dog someday. And it will be at just the right time.

prove that you can be responsible. also, tell her reasons a dog would be useful to the family-it's proven that dogs improve health (it really did improve mine!), they're very friendly and loyal, and if needed, they can be protection for the whole family once you become very attatched. if everyone wants one, just go out and get one you really like one day without her. once she sees how great they are, she won't wanna let it go. i know from experience with my parents-i did that and my mom is as attached to my dog as me!!!

Ask her her reasons she doesnt want a dog. maybe you will understand or maybe she wont have any so she will understand. also, get people in your family to try and convince her to get one. or she her you are responsible.
