Is there a difference in the taste of red wine with alcohol as compared to dealcoholized red wine?
P.S. I am thinking of getting my boyfriend dealcoholized red wine for his birthday and I would like to know if there is a big difference between the two.

Why don't you just bring sparkling grape juice, which looks like wine but taste better.

Yes of course there is. I can say that based on the knowledge that alcohol in fact does influence the taste. I would not even dream of tasting dealcoholized red wine. If you are considering this, buy him some Kool Aid instead...

Removing the alcohol requires heating the wine. The heat affects the flavor, but not terribly so.
