Jews: If the world is so evil, why does the Messiah not come?

Your question is valid but also lacking in the background that you need in order to understand the purpose of the Messiah. Whether Christian or Jew, the Messiah's initial appearance does not take sin out of the world. It is to remove sin as a threat to the future of those that believe by providing the blood of the Messiah as the sacrifice for all sins.

Evil exists in the world and will continue to exist until the final time the Messiah comes. This is according to scripture...both Jewish and Christian...although in a different form.

I am not a believer that every word written in the Bible is absolute truth in either word or interpretation...but that is the best understanding I have of the subject.

Your question is based on the Hollywood idea of Jesus and God.

Hollywood would have us believe that God is in a contest with the Devil to win souls. Both supposedly are trying frantically to win souls. If this were the case then God would be failing miserably.

The truth is:

The Father is not trying to reach the billions in today's world. He is simply getting a handful of people together to be a part of the headquarters team ruling under Christ (Revelation 2:26).

No one can come to Christ unless the father calls (draws) him (John 6:44).

After the Father calls someone, Christ chooses who he wants (John 15:16).

The Father is not calling billions now, or even millions. He is simply getting His Son’s headquarters team together to rule under the absolute monarchy of the King of kings and Lord of lords. They will be called, chosen, and faithful (Revelation 17:14).

The faithful is our part. We have a choice as to whether to be faithful or not.

"For without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that comes to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him" (Hebrews 11:6).

Will others be called? Yes, after the 1000 years of peace. The billions will generally be more teachable than they are today. At that time when there will be no more crying in Jerusalem, the teachers will no longer be hard to find, tucked away in a corner.

"...yet shall not your teachers be removed into a corner any more, but your eyes shall see your teachers" (Isaiah 30:20).

How are teachers put into a corner in today’s world?
20

The media, the governments, the education systems, and especially the religious leaders of this society put real teachers into a corner, a place in which they will get minimal exposure and therefore have minimal influence on the majority of this world’s population. The majority is always exposed to the standard in all things. The news is the standard propaganda and is advertised as being unbiased although all news is filtered for political correctness and thrust.

If I have to choose who was right, I'd pick the Jews. It makes sense that the world is bad and has yet to be saved - it doesn't make sense that the Messiah would come and leave humanity in a craphole for another 2000 years...

I believe the Messiah has come as our Lord and Savior, and will return on for the rapture of the church. As for the world being so evil, it is the corruption of sin. Sin is much like a wild fire in an open plain, spreading destorying everything in its path. But we had Christ to help us overcome sin, Not that we can become perfect, because none of us are perfect, but to become more Christ like.

I am a Christian and the world is evil because of sin that man brought in to the world. Gods wrath is yet to come. I would not want to fall under the wrath of God. Jesus will come again and 11 For it is written:

“ As I live, says the LORD,
Every knee shall bow to Me,
And every tongue shall confess to God.” Romans 14:11

Because people are falling away from God. God created good and evil but it is up to you to decided if you want to follow God or satin. Jesus is coming back and if you do not have faith in him you are doomed and it does not matter how good of a person you are. The Jews will have their chance during the tribulation to accept Jesus as their savior, if they don't then they are toast. www.mylordmysavior.com

because religions paint what is normal and natural as "evil"

in their own definition, the messiah has returned

when people look inwards not outwards for salvation, as Jesus did, they will become the change they wish to see in others

starting with viewing others as normal not evil, viewing the planet as worth conserving not destroying, and other religions as their choice of spirituality and not your own

The messiah is coming when nobody thinks he will. He's waiting for people to get their acts together and everyone to hear his gospel before He returns
