Then how come you can't be bothered to read a longer answer or question? I mean the Bible is like 20 pounds of small type, and if you read the King James version then you're reading every sentence three times because really who talks like that?

because 99% of the long answers are bible quotes that are irrelvant to the question asked. or they are c&p'd from wikipedia which is an unreliable source so i won't waste my time reading it.

I can read the King JAmes version pretty clear now, I've been reading it for a long time and now it's kind of like second nature. It took me about 3 years to read the Bible in it's entirety, but not that I think about it, if i were as into it now as i was years ago, it would have taken alot shorter of a time. Im not sure what your asking though :-/

I guess that is why not many people read King James anymore and why they make so many topical indexes and bible helps. At one time people did actually read more, and most every household (in the USA anyway) had a bible (whether they read it or not was another story).

I don't bother with the questions that are just mean. I have read the Bilbe all the way through. Twice KJV and The Greek Hebrew Key Study Bible.

What makes you think that we do not read long answers. Mine are usually long and I have received a lot of "best answers" so someone must be reading them.

If you are being disrespectful or belligerant in the way you are writing your answer, then I and many others will not go beyond the first example of that as many (including me) do not feel obligated to listen to someone's opinion if coming from that angle rather than in an honest yet respectful reply.

1. The Bible has paragraph breaks.

2. I can listen to a CD, but that doesn't mean I want to listen to somebody talk about something for 60 minutes that they could have summed up in 5.

I DO read the long answers and questions, unless it's obvious that they're a copy and paste, or unless it's from one of those people who copy and paste the same long answer to almost every question. YOU know the people I'm talking about.

As for the long questions, I read them, too, unless it's something I've read before.

If you are a dedicated searcher, you read it and study it as well as other books. Don't stop there! The speech has been changed in newer versions of the Bible.
