I believe you are referring to Doctrine and Covenant 132:7 --
All covenants, contracts, bonds, obligations, oaths, vows, performances, connections, associations, or expectations, that are not made and entered into and sealed by the Holy Spirit of promise, of him who is anointed, both as well for time and for all eternity, and that too most holy, by revelation and commandment through the medium of mine anointed, whom I have appointed on the earth to hold this power (and I have appointed unto my servant Joseph to hold this power in the last days, and there is never but one on the earth at a time on whom this power and the keys of this priesthood are conferred), are of no efficacy, virtue, or force in and after the resurrection from the dead; for all contracts that are not made unto this end have an end when men are dead.

I don't know where you get that this is Mormon doctrine. Any covenants, oaths, and agreements made in the Temples of the Lord are binding for the eternities unless they are broken by the participants.
Marriages solemnized by local ministers and Justices of the Peace are for time only and until death.
Perhaps your question isn't fully defined.

This what the Bible says:
Hebrews 9:16 Â For where a testament is, there must also of necessity be the death of the testator.
17 Â For a testament is of force after men are dead: otherwise it is of no strength at all while the testator liveth.
It does not end, it begins.
Galatians 3:15 Â Brethren, I speak after the manner of men; Though it be but a man's covenant, yet if it be confirmed, no man disannulleth, or addeth thereto.
GOD bless

Nope. It's just the beginning of the longest 'fast and testimony' meeting ever held in (the) heaven(s) (the) by God(s).
Or you can simply skip town like J Smith did in Kirtland...

No, the covenants we make with God do not end with death. If we make a marriage covenant with our spouse tat we are married for time and all eternity, that doesn't end.

According to Islam, a person's family would be responsible for taking over the person's obligations and they would be held accountable for them until they were fulfilled.

Did Jesus ever have secret hand shakes with his disiciples, no, so, this would mean at death, all the stuff (freemason)m stuff that goes on in the temple would be null and void at death.
