(this is sort of religion related since it involves an angel)

i think i would enjoy the movie better if the angel had shown uncle billy how HIS life has meaning. obviously george's life has meaning--he has a good job, a family that loves him, etc. but uncle billy is an alcoholic and the one who lost the money in the first place. i don't think it's all that hard to show george that his life means something, but it would be harder to do the same for uncle billy. i think that would make the movie mean more.

thoughts?

As I recall the movie...I think Uncle Billy was shown what he has as well. He made a mistake and was forgiven for it because he had the support of the family....even though it didn't always appear that way.

You do have a good point but it was George who was going to commit suicide and so he was the one who needed help the most, but hey, what a great moral film though.
