Good grief! I am 5'2" and am 120 pounds and a size 6 and I am fine with that. I guess you are a lot smaller than that in clothing. You do not need to lose any more weight. First of all, you are 13, and have not even reached all the changes your body will do. Stay active, that is fine. I am 28 but also a martial artist. I work out four days a week, an average of 2 hours a day. If you want to tone up, just do your normal pushups, situps, and light weights, with high reps.

Socieity tells us that people are fat, because they make a lot of money on these so called diet plans. Celebrities today are too thin. They have to be thin, because the camera makes them look as if they gained 10 to 20 pounds.

As long as you watch what you eat and exercise, you should be ok from gaining much more weight. Exercise keeps your metabolism high.

Do you need to lose weight? Take a look in the mirror, that should answer your question. 5'7 and 123 pounds is already skinny! Guys don't find really skinny girls attractive, we like medium sized, not to big, not to small. Even if your a lesbian, I'm pretty sure they prefer medium too. (on average).

I'm sorry if I seem mad..

If you want to tone up do 5 sets of 30 curls with 5 pound weights, every day. (If you don't know what a curl is, type in "bicep curl" on Yahoo! images. Do 5 sets of 20 crunches (make sure they hurt your stomach) 5 days a week also. Eat healthy and in 3-6 weeks you should have really good results.

Too maintain your weight, eat 1300-1750 calories a day. Even 2000 could be okay.

Too secretagentwd40: She (the user asking this question) needs to gain a few pounds, and she could also be fine at her weight. You are male, and you need to gain weight. No offense, just saying.

If you are 13 and already 5'7" there is a good chance you will grow taller. Whether 123 lbs is the right weight for you is entirely dependant on your activities and interests.

IF you are an aspiring model and want to persue a career in the fashion industry, then you may need to shed anywhere from 10-20 lbs before you should invest any $$ into comp cards (three presentable photos on a card with all your pertinent information; height, weight, bust, waist and hip measurements, etc.). But, don't rush to do that untill you hit 5'8" as this is generally regarded as the minimum height that most credible fashion agencies will accept for new models.

If you play sports or aspire to be, say, a womans basketball player, then the few extra pounds may actually be beneficial to you in your career.

For right now though you shouldn't be so concerned about your weight. It doesn't sound like it would cause any issues of negative health nor impead your mobility in any way.

Although, it is never too early to learn how to maintain a healthy body from exercise and proper diet. Water is probably the single most important thing to consume to acheive good physical health (and its great for the skin as well as helpful in regulating a person's weight). While artificial sweeteners and excessive sugars (candy, chocolates, soda, fast foods and greasy foods) would be on the otherside of that spectrum and are actually some of the worst things you can consume if you are trying to maintain a healthy body.

Also remember that not everyone grows and develops on the same schedule, but teens do go through a period of faster growth. During puberty, the body begins making hormones that spark physical changes like faster muscle growth (particularly in guys) and spurts in height and weight gain in both guys and girls. Once these changes start, they continue for several years. The average person can expect to grow as much as 10 inches (25 centimeters) during puberty before he or she reaches full adult height.

So don't panic, stay calm and don't be too concerned about your physical appearance or weight being out of sync with anyone else, its no BODY's business but yours. The way you look and the way you WANT to look should make you feel good about yourself and be of comfort to you, above all or anyone else. Dont let anyone tell you different.

No you don't need to lose weight , your at good weight just like you are. I'm 5'7" and I weigh a 117 and I can't gain any weight no matter how hard I try. My clothes look good on me but I know I'm to thin, I eat real good, but really I don't want what I consume . I just force it down. I have started eating these Quaker energy bars 2 a day but just stay the same.

My doctor says your just a tiny person and don't worry about it, as long as it isn't hurting your health. But I weigh every day and sometimes just out of the blue I'll go done to 115 .

Well Im 13 and around 5'3 or 4" and Im around 110 so I suppose you might be able to shed a few pounds using pilates. Just do it at least 3 times a week and you'll be fine!
