If you open the can one day and feed you dog 1/2 a can and then the next day 1/2 of the can. Thats it toss the rest.
Not more than 48 hours.

Probably no more than a day or two. Use yourself as the gauge, if you open a can of food for yourself, and store it in the fridge, how long will you wait before you decide to toss it out? Probably not longer than a day or two.

I'll let it be in the fridge for 2 days. Then it's got to go. (With my pack of three, that is never really an issue.)

The same amount of time you would keep an open can in the frig for yourself

Couple of days. You could always divide the leftovers into portions, place in ziplock bags, and freeze them if you need to keep it longer.

It's a dog. I don't think it would matter to them if it was molded, cracked, dried and was in the fridge for 2 months.

Just feed them the food.
