Rationally, if one considers the situation in the Middle East with the selefi ISIL and Al Queda in Syria and the surrounding territories, it looks like Muslims will deteriorate and split into smaller and smaller tribes and disappear. In 100 years, Islam will cease to be such a huge threat. By its nature, Islam cannot be organized and stable. Its based on tribal conquest.

According to their own statements, Islam is the world's fastest growing religion.

I'm always leary of fast growing things, though. They usually end up feeding on themselves and destroying the host.

It is a growing religion next to christinity..Islam itself is never dead only when practices stop but even than it does not die. Even if it does I'm NOT saying it will but death is the final step to attain something more is it not?

well the reason Islam is growing is because like christendom people are just born into it, they don't make a conscience decision to become a Muslim.

But soon God will 'Destroy all false religions including christendom that is depicted in Revalation Cha 17 its called the whore who has sold herself to the Governments.

(James 4:4) 4 Adulteresses, do YOU not know that the friendship with the world is enmity with God? Whoever, therefore, wants to be a friend of the world is constituting himself an enemy of God. . .

(Matthew 7:21-23) 21 “Not everyone saying to me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter into the kingdom of the heavens, but the one doing the will of my Father who is in the heavens will. 22 Many will say to me in that day, ‘Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name, and expel demons in your name, and perform many powerful works in your name?’ 23 And yet then I will confess to them: I never knew YOU! Get away from me, YOU workers of lawlessness.

لا لا لا! No it is not a dying religion. Islam is the religion of ALLAH(SWT) and Muslims compromise 1.7 billion followers in the world with 6 million followers who are reverts to Islam in the USA alone. So no Islam will never die because ALLAH(SWT) will not let HIS religion die. I testify that there is no God but God and Muhammad(PBUH*) is his slave and messenger.

the fastest growing religion
one fifth of the population in the world is muslim
with 1.61 billion muslims on the earth

The total number of Muslims is huge, a little more than one fifth of the world's populaton. The growth rate of the Muslim population, which averaged 1.9 between 2000 and 2006, is also far higher than the world's population growth rate, which averaged 1.22% in the same period. It is also much faster than any other major religious group.
