At the present time I would say XP, Vista still has bugs in it and it will take another year or 2 to get most of them out. Besides Microsoft's literally pushing Vista down every ones throats. And that's something that I could care less for so screw you Microsoft.

I think XP is the best overall, and beside Vista is fairly new, so it still have some bugs to work on. If you're using XP and is happy with it, no sense in switching over to Vista.

I use both and like both,it is just a matter of preference and taste I guess. One thing I will say though is that Vista is pretty processor hungry so you better have a good processor before upgrading.

XP, IMHO. Although there are a few stripped down versions of Vista that are purported to be pretty good.

no bugs in vista,don't listen to those who always say(Vista is still new and buggy).
I'm using vista on my work pc,home pc and my labtop...no problem at all.I have both business edition and home edition....they work great without any problems or bugs.
