well your parents were wrong for telling you like that. they're not a 100% perfect,so i dont know what made them feel like they had the authority to tell you, YOU WILL BURN IN HELL. they are not God, and they have no hell or heaven to put you in first of all.
they are your parents though and the bible says honor your mother and father that your days may be holy...you don't have to agree with them all the time b/c i dont w/ my parents...God knows they get on my nerves but it is VERY important that you are respectful towards them
anyway, to answer your question i don't believe you'll go to hell for having a tongue piercing...i wouldn't personally get one cuz it's just not my thing but you have to remember your body is a temple and you should treat it as so.
ultimately you know in your head whether you were wrong or right.
God knows your heart and your motives for doing things.
if you were going against your parents just to rebel...then yeah you may wanna repent, but i dont believe ONE sin will put you in hell
your belief in God and your relationship w/ God will keep your from eternal life in damnation

Tongue piercing is usually seen as something sexual to many people (I won't to into why, you shouldn't know at your age), and I think the sexual acts that come from having a tongue pierced goes against the Bible.

Considering that Christians worship a guy with pierced hands, you'd think they'd be the most tolerant when it comes to piercings.
Actually it sounds like you'll be protected: read Job 5:21. I mean Moses got by with a handicapped tongue (Exodus 4:10).

No, having your tongue pierced is perfectly fine. Technically, if having a body piercing marks you for the devil, then ear piercings would as well ... and most women have pierced ears.
I would suggest that you don't use your piercing to draw attention to yourself in any way that wouldn't be pleasing to God ... if you get what I'm saying. And take good care of your new piercing.

Bless your heart, my Gramma heart just goes out to you. My dear child.....do not let what others say cause you to fear.
The only ones going to hell, according to the Bible, are those who reject the Lord Jesus. Jesus came into the world to save the lost, and we are all lost until we ask Him into our hearts.
This would be a good step for you to take. Ask the Lord to forgive you of all your sins, invite Him into your life, get a Bible and start reading it.
God loves you dearly. He does nor condemn us for anything as long as we are saved, in Christ. The only condemnation, the only door to hell, is to reject God's love and Jesus' sacrifice for us.
As for the tongue piercing I do not believe it is the way to go.....for anyone. If you feel the Lord wants you to remove it, you can simply do so.
My heart aches for you.......blessed boy or girl.....surrender your life to the Lord, and find a good Bible teaching church.
God loves you dearly, and so do I !!

Where in the heck to that get that info?
Who says they're bad? You'll have to find in the Bible where it says they're bad. If someone points out to you the body being the temple of God then ask them this, "Over eating and being fat desecrates the body of God- are you desecrating it?" In America we choose the ways we're allowed to harm our body and what ways are not socially acceptable. In America we can over eat, pig out, get fat, not exercise, but we're not supposed to smoke, etc. This is dumb and makes no sense!
Besides, use this argument. The church is also known as God's body and his temple- and we adorn that with all kinds of pretty things. You think that getting a piercing is pretty and a great way to adorn your temple. That's a matter of preference. As long as your teachers acknowledge that what they're telling you is a matter of their personal preferences and not a matter of God's truth or "what the bible teaches" than go ahead a listen to them. But, it is up to you to agree or disagree with them b/c getting a piercing is a matter of preference. Also it can be an expression of who you are. I have had an eyebrow ring and might get one again. To me it was an expression that I was different from everyone else and diddn't want to follow the crowd- an expression of my faith. If I got it again it would probably be b/c I thought it looked good on me while I had it. Do your sunday school teachers have ear rings? If they do, then you know that what they're saying is a matter of what is socially acceptable and not an issue of biblical truth.
Good luck!
And besides the very weak argument that the body is a temple of God, what kind of Biblical proof can they give you?

I believe the Bible only tells you to not get tattoos. I don't think it says anything about piercings.
And don't worry about "defiling your body". People always take extremely generalized statements like that and apply it to whatever they think isn't conservative enough for the Lord.
Go ahead and pierce your tongue. Good luck with relearning how to talk after you get that thing in there!

No, piercings and tattoos at the instant are not against the Bible. It replaced into against the old testomony regulations with the aid of fact God did no longer desire us to mark our bodies with symbolism which would be used to deprave the land of Israel. although, provided that Christ Jesus fulfilled old testomony regulations along with his existence and loss of life, there is no reason to carry on with the old testomony till that's commanded interior the recent testomony. in addition to, I, in my opinion, does no longer advise you to get a tattoo given which you're youthful and could experience sorry approximately it in a while in existence.

Piercings and marks are prohibited in the Old Testament.
If you are worried about hell, just take out the tongue stud and it will begin healing within 3 hours.

yes tongue piercing is against the Bible. It says in Leviticus 19:28, "Ye shall not make any cuttings in your flesh for the dead, nor print any marks upon you: I am the LORD. "
