I'm talking about the ones who have passed on. I often think about my Great-Grandmother, or a sweet girl I once knew that accidentally overdosed on sleeping pills, another girl I went to school with when I was little who had MS, I wonder what they are doing in their next life, what it is like. Does anybody else ever wonder about that kind of thing, what do you think they are doing?

Jasmin...sorry meant to give you a thumbs up, not down.

How about some creativity here, can you possibly imagine what they might be doing right now? I'd like to think my Great-Grandmother is nagging my Great-Grandpa about something he forgot to do (she always did that). Or that that little girl with MS is now dancing through fields enjoying her legs and the girl who od'd, I'd like to think that she enjoys being awake.

The question really isn't what any SPECIFIC people are doing in the next life. It's more about what ANYONE will do, after passing on. For Christians, there's to be one phenomenal banquet, and the Bema Seat Judgment, where we'll be rewarded by Jesus in some manner for certain of our works here on earth. Then for earth, there'll be 1,000 years during which Jesus will reign over the planet, personally.

What bugs me, though, is the question of just WHAT we'll be doing for all the rest of eternity. I mean, we can't really comprehend 1,000 years particularly well. What about doing SOMETHING for an octillion years... that's 1,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000 years! -- during which we will be fully aware that comprises only the first **split-second** of the eternity that still lies ahead.

How I WISH that the Bible had contained more detail about THAT! (Revelation really needed a few more chapters!)

Our loved ones are in the spirit world; the more righteous in Paradise and the unrighteous, or wicked, in a spirit prison of sorts. While there is peace and tranquility for the righteous, the wicked are living in regrets.

The spirits are also learning so they might progress and those never having the opportunity while in mortality to know of Jesus Christ are receiving instructions of His Gospel.

At a time known only to God the Father, we spirits will be resurrected and then judged by the Son. Then we will inherit our mansion in heaven or worse, our damnation.

The spirit world is not far from us, but closer than you think on this earth. I would suppose they are in a different dimension and can see us if they're so mind to. Although the spirits can see us I'm sure they don't spy upon us because they have better things to do to prepare themselves for the eternities to come.

I can't explain you more than this,After death there is another life called "barzakh".Our dead live there until resurrection and what they do only God knows it.So my advice to you is live your life in this world with the living and do good deeds as much as you can.

I believe they all walk among us on a different vibratory plane, of course. I believe that the instant your mind conceives the thought of them, that they are there, ready to listen and comfort you. If you've never seen the movie with Nicole Kidman called 'The Others', I recommend it. I was 9 years old when my dad died. He was 42 and died from a heart attack in his sleep. For years and years after his death, I would always have the same recurring dream of him. I was always 9 years old in the dreams, and I would see him standing in the midst of a crowd of people at church. I'd go running up to him so happy that he was not dead but alive. Every time I'd get up to where I saw him standing, he'd just vanish and I'd wake up. It always felt like him dying all over again and I would be so sad when I woke up. One night when I was 18, I had the same dream again, but only this time he didn't vanish. I was so happy in that dream, as I recalled all the other dreams where he would leave. We held hands and sang songs during the church service. Afterwards, he walked me out to the car. I climbed in and he got in on the driver's side. He told me many things that to this day, I do not remember, but it was as though it gave my heart peace. The one thing he said that I did remember was when he looked me in my eyes, and said, "Although, you'll never see me again with these eyes, I want you to know that I am always going to be right there with you, looking out for you and watching over you." As quickly as he said it, he vanished in the driver's seat, the car started itself up, and drove me home safely. I woke up. I am 37 years old now and in almost 20 years since having dreamed that dream, I have never one time dreamed of him again. I believe with all my heart that he came to me. I have had things happen over the years that have convinced me of his promise to me. I believe our loved ones have the ability to instantaneously arrive anywhere at will and when we call on them. I also believe that they can be at more than one place at a time. I, personally, feel very close to my loved ones that have died...even closer than anything I ever had with them in their lives here on earth. I believe they 'fly' everywhere helping others, whispering good things into our ears and comfort people when they are sad. I'm so sorry for your own losses. Believe that they are with you always. If anything, know that they would want you to feel this way, and yes, I believe they are whole and healed from that which they experienced on this earth. I believe also, that they still feel sadness at times, but not for themselves. It's a sadness for others as they wish to ease this pain of ours. They smile when we smile, and they live for our smiles. I believe that they have grand and joyous gatherings with others and sing praises to the Almighty. They all share a common desire to help those of us here.

I believe that when loved ones die, they become another Guardian Angel for us. If they cared and loved us so much when they were alive, I bet they will take good care of us when dead.

My theory about existence is that time is cyclical and they just repeat the same stuff they did when they were alive this time, over and over, forever.

They aren't doing anything. They died. There is no evidence of a next life.
