Every time she does anything the media is on top of her adding to the pressure that already goes with playing in a big tournament. Only Tiger Woods gets more media play and that's because of who he is not what he could be.

Michelle and her Dad sought the coverage so they'll just have to live with it. If she had stuck with her game and earned her way onto the tour it would be totally different. But she sought the spotlight with the men's tour thing and all, and it turns out she can't even perform as a top player on the woman's tour, so too bad. They will lay off her when she starts acting like a professional and her Dad gets his priorities straight. He gave her really bum advice about how to launch her career.

She put herself in this position by joining the tour so early and competing on the men's PGA Tour!

Her "team" of publicists built her up so she would be marketable. With that, comes media attention!

She has never won an event (LPGA or PGA) and now she purposely withdrew from an LPGA event so she wouldn't be banned from play! (Nobody buys her injury story!)

I have agree with you, the media should leave her alone so she can play better.

my reasons is that the other young ladies haven't step up their games and not that interest to talk about. I don't think the other young ladies names (morgan, paula, kim, etc) grab the fans attention like Wie.

Pressure? - she got paid huge money by Nike for winning absolutely nothing. If she doesn't want the pressure she should give the money back and earn her way into tournaments like everyone else

When you enter the Arena where Pro Sports are played....you are in a spotlight...whatever you do will be put under a microscope....If ya can't handle that pressure....then you need to go back to playing just for fun

Are you sure she wants to be left alone?

No media = no $20 million endorsements for an unproven golfer with a habit of withdrawing

Sheer jealousy - she's not the want they want to win; when Jan Stephenson complained about all the Asians on the tour, she said out loud what many people truly feel. They want the tour to be built around Creamer & Pressel. Sorry, when Michelle gets her confidence and health back, it's going to be a 3 way race.

So the media was great 2 years ago but now that she has flopped it is bad. She wanted it now she has got it, I'm smiling ear to ear with her score today!!! What hole will she withdraw on tomorrow?

Because the press wants something with splash, and Wie is hot. Combine her attractiveness with her obvious talent, and the press will not stop until they hound her out of the game. (and probably after that as well. 'Why did you retire Michelle?' - 'To get away from you Katie Couric!!!' hehehe...)
