and if it does how can college students drink so much at parties and still graduate?

Yes it does affect the memory. Like the earlier answerer said that alcohol consumption kills millions of brain cells new ones are also produced. But the damage is only temporary, not permanent. The effects of alcohol remains only till 5 - 6 hours after consumption and then the highness fades out. But alcohol still damages the liver and also can cause memory loss if consumed excessively!

Yes, alcohol affects memory for sure. As for how the college students can consume so much alcohol & still graduate. I can only say, I've wondered that too.

It can affect your memory of the time you were drunk, it doesn't affect your memory permanently. I suggest you read up on alcohol and its effects before drinking.

Alcohol kills millions of brain cells. People have multiple billions of brain cells, and the body is constantly making new ones. Binge drinkers in college defy logic.

okay so alchohol CAN give you short term memory loss and it lapses your memory. And colleg students dont get drunk evry single night
