What does 'Ich mich' and 'Ich mir' mean in English?

Also does 'Ja' have any other meaning apart from 'Yes'?

If anyone could help me out with both of these please.

Thanks/Danke.

Mich is me or myself so ich mich would mean I, me and ich mir the same.

Mich and mir are used in different contexts.Its all about accusive and dative reflexive pronouns which I find hard to explain.

Mich is used when its a direct object such as (accusive)

Ich Wasche mich

I wash me

whereas mir is indirect so ( dative)

ich wasche mir das gesicht-

I wash myself on the face

so it is used to direct to another object acts as a road almost to the main thing i.e the face

Ja is used as yes but can be used in the same contexts as in english such as

You saw it yes?
You're coming yes

'Ich' is 'I' and 'mich' is 'me', so you might be better off asking someone to translate the sentence they're in instead, as out of context they don't really mean anything.

'Mir' is like 'mich', also meaning 'me', but simply used differently.

I think 'ja' means 'yes' or 'affirmative' - think about synonyms for 'yes' as a positive answer and you should get more alternative meanings.

Ich mich and Ich mir both mean I mean but in different contexts. (Accusitive and Dativ) Try out my favorite website for translating straight out of Deutschland: www.leo.org. Don't worry, they've got English, French, and Spanish versions of the page. Just click on the correct flag.

yeah, I'm doing GCSE german...
"Ich mich" means I me, or I myself
"Ich mir" also means I me
"Ja" means yes, but it can also be used as in "Ja?" like we'd say "yes?" in english for "really?" Put at the end of the statement, ".....Ja?" just questions the meaning or truth of that statement.

and I did that without cheating..so I guess I did learn something in 5 years!!

when you see "mich" or "mir" next to "ich," it's usually in conjunction with a reflexive verb....for example, the verbs for brushing teeth or washing hands has a dative reflexive verb which brings the dative pronoun "mir."

"ich putze mir die zaehne." the same applies to du, sie, er, wir, etc.

"ja" is used as different expressions in different situations. it can mean "in fact," or as a stresser of of an idea...."ich bin ja sehr cool."

ich mich means i myself
ja means yes but if you look in a german dictionary you will find it means other things like
du kommet doch ,ja =you'll come won't you

ich = I
mich = me
mir= "me" or "to me" (dative case), usually used after certain prepositions

Ja is sometimes used at the beginning of a sentence as in English "well", or in the phrase "na ja" to mean "I guess" or "whatever"
