wow. you put the ice and ice cream making salt in the outside compartment. then put the smaller bucket in the outside bucket. put milk and cream and sugar and vanilla in the inside bucket. put the lid on and turn it. If that's the wrong kind of ice cream maker. Then do a google search.

hi
should not be a problem to using your maker. I am assuming it is electric.most makers make 1- 1 1/2 gal cream so make sure your recipe is for that or smaller amount. layer your ice and ice cream salt around the outside of the canister and replenish as needed. The motor should automatically stop when the cream is done. Good Luck and enjoy the summer, Pat

You need to make the ice cream mixture first, either custard based with eggs or a milk/cream mixture and you need to chill it until ingredients are very cold then add to the ice cream maker. That's the only thing I could think of that would cause the ice cream not to freeze in the machine.

Is there no maker's name that you could look up?
The process is to put rock salt & ice in the outer shell.
Pour your ice-cream mix into the metal centre tub.
Then crank the handle for hours, until it's ready.

the other guys have great advice. I would save it as an antique. when I was in girl scouts we used a small and large coffee can and made icecream. We put the ingredients in a plastic bag and put that in the little can ,we put the little can in a bigger can surrounded by ice and rocksalt. We took turns rolling it around until it made the best icecream. You will make great icecream.

Not to sound demeaning, but all you need to make ice cream is a recipe for making it, you don't need the instructions for the maker! That would be like needing instructions to use a coffee maker when all you do is pour the water in with the right amount of coffee. Hope this helps. You can do it!!!!

Just toss milk and vanilla and sugar in a bag, then surround it with another bag with salt and ice and shake it gingerly. Then use the ice cream amker as a paper weight. ;)
