It is funny when one who don't believe or want anything to do with God while they are living but when they are on their deathbed alot changes, people who carry bitterness, hate and grudges and such through their lives but on the deathbed they change. My mom had alot of hate for men in general, she hated dad for many reasons, but on her deathbed she changed so much, her face and her hearty that carried hate had changed into love instead. So I really think the deathbed knowing its a person last change can do a number on anyone..and I think if a person is on their deathbed that at one time or another was a hell raiser or whatever and they ask for forgiveness with the very last breath then I believe that person will be forgiven and saved..and it don't matter who or what that person had done or said. Even the worst of them can ask for forgiveness and I know that if God can forgive me for all the dumb things I have done and even still do then I believe He loves that one who is on their deathbed asking in their last breath for forgiveness, as it being a get out of jail free card yeah in away you can call it that, but it would be the smartest thing the person ever asked in their life

Absolutely. A serial killer can repent on his deathbed and go to heaven, like the guy on the cross next to Jesus. Meanwhile a person on the other side of the globe goes to hell for being the wrong religion, despite being a good person. It makes no sense.

No, it is not a get out of jail free card. Deathbed repentance occur because you realize this the end and you will never be able to express your feelings again. If we live and cherish every moment of our life as possible last moment, we will never hurt any body's feelings. By living life with such wisdom, you will never have to face enemy or evil people. They all will love and respect you.

Yeah.

This is not the wise choice to conclude though. For at any moment death can come swiftly like the wind and the very last breath out of your body. No one is sure when they will die so the deathbed is not a wise choice.

Again, Jesus said that not everyone who calls on His name will be saved, but the ones that do the will of the Father.

The two criminals on crosses beside Jesus - Luke 23:39-43

One of the criminals who hung there hurled insults at him: "Aren't you the Christ? Save yourself and us!" But the other criminal rebuked him. "Don't you fear God," he said, "since you are under the same sentence? We are punished justly, for we are getting what our deeds deserve. But this man has done nothing wrong." Then he said, "Jesus, remember me when you come into your kingdom. Jesus answered him, "I tell you the truth, today you will be with me in paradise."

One man had genuine repentance and received forgiveness from God. If the other had said thereafter, "What about me too?" I do not believe that he would have made it to paradise.

Deathbed repentance is completely valid.

However, who among us knows exactly when we are going to die and how?

It is too much of a risk to think that we would have the opportunity to repent upon our deathbed. If we die suddenly we miss the chance entirely.

It is, if you truly mean it, and it is not just saying the words. God will be the judge on if you mean it or not, and if you do not, then you are doomed. Better to live your life being a good person and give it over to God/Jesus while you still can. Your life will be richer and happier.

Not exactly. The only way for someone to repent and be forgiven is to ACTUALLY MEAN WHAT THEY SAY. Not be afraid of hell and trying to cover their a**. Only God can judge if the person is truly repentant.
