Cuba and Venezuela are not democratic. People who dislike America love democracy. We just don't like W. We don't like the fact that thousands of US troops died in Iraq. We don't like the larger than life national deficit. We don't like the system currently in place . However, we "complainers" plan to do something in 08.

Cuba is a communist hell hole and Venezuela is an extremely hot jungle that is run also by a commie. If I had to live in another country it would probably be the UK or New Zealand, possibly Australia. The socialist utopia you describe is something that Hillary and Osama, I mean Obama want. Socialized health care and a police state, wonderful. Someone needs to tell Hillary to put her crusty black pants suit away and retire to Cuba where she will fit right in with all of the other socialists!

Actually I would prefer England or another UK country which lists English as the primary language. Castro's Cuba is not attractive even though I speak Spanish and Venezuela is just too darn hot hot hot. LOL!

Yes everyone is poor, because of corrupt dictators like Castro/Chavez. I am sure that is so reassuring to those people living there.

The American policy toward Cuba is self-defeating, but it has survived because anti-Castro Cuban Americans, living in South Florida, are key in presidential elections. Florida is essential in the Electoral College, and these right-wingers are the balance of power in that closely divided state.

Congress recently defeated an attempt to liberalize trade with Cuba. The cold warriors are holding on, re-fighting a war we've already won while conducting a policy that does us no good. In his golden years, Castro must find this all very reassuring.....

No that isn't the way America works! I wouldn't expect you to know that!

This is in our states constitution:

[Art.] 10. [Right of Revolution.] Government being instituted for the common benefit, protection, and security, of the whole community, and not for the private interest or emolument of any one man, family, or class of men; therefore, whenever the ends of government are perverted, and public liberty manifestly endangered, and all other means of redress are ineffectual, the people may, and of right ought to reform the old, or establish a new government. The doctrine of nonresistance against arbitrary power, and oppression, is absurd, slavish, and destructive of the good and happiness of mankind.

[Art.] 22. [Free Speech; Liberty of the Press.] Free speech and liberty of the press are essential to the security of freedom in a state: They ought, therefore, to be inviolably preserved.

Maybe you should read the Constitution sometimes, or join the service!

And why go to Cuba, we are the ones that put Castro into power!

By the way. Cuba's life expectancy is higher than the US, and their Infant morbidity and mortality are far better than ours!

Your question makes no sense at all. If I have no rights in America, I should move to a country where I will not have any rights. So I guess the answer is, I won't have any rights in Cuba either.

My husband (born in Texas) hates America and left the place almost 4 years ago.
I talk to so many people online who also hate the place, they are all coming to the UK to live like my husband did. I won't say the UK is any better, at least our problems are on a smaller scale to you guys.
I say if you hate the place/government so much, show how you really feel by leaving!

I agree with lollipoppett. Maybe she could get her girlfriends to marry other American self-haters and take them to the 'loving' UK? We'd all appreciate it.

I see you and your fellow Brits spew hatred all over YAnswers about Americans and I guess you think you're making the world a better place. Maybe you could just join the Mulsims in their "Death to America" protests in Trafalgar Square.

Good job assimilating your immigrants, by the way. I see they all took to it quickly.
