i ahve no idea whats wrong witch the tranny...

it just wouldnt go past like 5-10mph on day....

Well if it's an older car, then it should be pretty cheap and easy to find a new transmission for it. It should'nt cost you more than about $2,000. Cheapest price- around $900-$1,300

But if you want to get a new car for a cheap price, try to find a used police car that you can buy. Those things are almost the cheapest, and well running things on the market. Some of them cost only $900-$1,500. If I can find the website again I'll put up the link to it.

the blue book on a 93 ford probe, if your lucky is about a 1000 bucks probably better to just get a new car,If you love the car though garage it and wait 10 years.

A CD4e is a EXPENSIVE trans. The cost will be higher than the value

depends on stick or auto, my friend got a rebuilt one for like 1500 but my dad got a preformace one for almost 4000. depends on what you want or check out a junk yard. and they r dirt cheap.

In general, automatic transmissions are about 1500-2500, depending on exact model and condition of your old broken one (i.e. core charge).

I just had one replaced on a Mercury Sable for $1450.00 . Luck to you .
