I try my hardest to love everyone as Christ commands me to. That includes gay people ... and I personally could care less who they fall in love with or sleep with. There is so much more to people than their sexual orientation ... and I believe that God feels that way, too.

The people who hate gays are wrong. But there is a definite conflict of interest between gay and straight. It is only acceptable so long as straight values still prevail. I believe the Bible could not be more neutral and objective when it describes the problem with being gay so far as society is concerned as "this is confusion." Heterosexuals need to maintain mating conditions. Uncertainty whether the guy next to you is an ally or thinks he is a lover makes life impossibly difficult and unpleasant. Gays and lesbians need to accept the backseat. Whether they have made a lifestyle choice or it is their nature, it is not the norm and it cannot be made the norm. Certainly they should always be welcomed in the church as individuals.

So many religious tend to be hypocritical. Jesus didn't like the life style of those sinner women, but he forgave them when the religious wanted to stone them. Fundamental Christians would frown upon a religious leader showing compassion to a bimbo; even though, that is exactly what Jesus did.

I definitely love them now. I can't honestly say I did before I actually started working with them (in San Francisco). Seeing them on TV and being warned about their "agenda" gave me a skewed view of them. They are good co-workers and my friends. I think you'd find a lot of Christians who actually got to know more gay people would start to truly love them as well, despite not liking what they do.

Any Christain who hates a Gay person, is not a true Christain. I am Christain, although I have not really practiced my faith in years. I find Gay people to be just that, "PEOPLE"
They are just like the rest of us, having the same needs, desires, weaknesses, etc as us all. Just that they happen to like the same sex.
I despise anyone who calls themselves a Christain who radiates hate towards Gays, or any other group of people, just because they are different. There is another religion in the world right now that seems to be doing a bit too much of this. We don't need more religions to join that sort of mentality right now.,

Yes, Christians should and do love gay people. Not love love, but love. You know what I mean. :-)
It's hard to tell why you got thumbs-down votes on your other answer. A lot would depend on the question.

I do.
I have known quite a few gay people and have never met one that I did not like.
There was a song that came out about 20 years ago called "Don't Tell Them Jesus Loves Them (Until You're Ready To Love Them Too)." I agree with that.

Enough to tell them the truth, even at our own expense. Love rejoices in truth. Sin enslaves and destroys. Why would anyone call it love to encourage someone in their own self destruction? Love would warn them.
anyone claiming to be Christian while at the same time encouraging someone in sin because of cowardness, personal gain or public acceptance is not really a Christian. They don't understand the most basic truths of Scripture.
Love does not rejoice in iniquity, but rejoices in the truth;

I think you can love them in a kind of sense that you love everyone...but you can dislike what they do. It's like Martin Luther King said, "you condemn the deed, not the person". I do struggle with the fact that Christianity condemns gays as a Christian, but... I think the right thing to do is to love them enough to not just ignore them and write them off as "sinful" or whatever but to tell them your point of view in a nice kind of way.

I believe the Bible when it states we love the person but not all of the bad practices some do,Corinthians says 'that is what some of you were...Obviously those true Christians had gradually come to a more accurate understanding of the Bible and repented by changing certain traits.Jesus died for ALL types we all know that.He condemned the bad practices.
