Try seeing a specialist. They tend to be more helpful, in my experience. If you are seeing a specialist, then maybe try and find another one..

I saw a specialist about a severe skin allergy - I was already taking Piriton but she said that I could ALSO take Loratadine at the same time.
I think that like painkillers, there are some anti histamines which have different active ingredients and can be taken together - I would NOT experiment though! Having read of the lady that took three times her normal dose of hayfever tablet when things were bad & she ended up in a coma!
But you can keep this in mind next time you see your specialist!

I think the strongest antihistimine with a perscription is Allegra 180mg. I've had a lot of people tell me that it works for them the best. As far as over the counter...the strongest is benadryl (the perscription strength is 50mg, OTC it's avaliable as 25mg, so you can take 2 capsules/tablets) but it will cause you to be tired. Claritin went over the counter as well...and while it's not as strong, it won't make you drowsy. You could do the claritin in the morning to get you through the day and then the benadryl at night since it will make you tired. Hope you're feeling better soon....allergies are a drag!!!

I've had similar issues, and it wasn't until I got the right combo that I had some relief. I personally use Zyrtec D and Nasonex for my alleriges. After I got my allergies under control, my asthma subsided greatly. My advice is the same as the other answerer. See an allergy specialist.

You should go back to your GP again and insist on something stronger. Maybe ask to see a different GP if thats possible?
I was buying over the counter antihistimines for hayfever and they weren't working. I went to my GP who gave me eye drops and a nasal spray on prescription which worked.
If your main symptoms are sneezing and/or itchy nose, you should use a nasal spray.
If you have itchy and runny, watery eyes, you should use eye drops, or both if you have both symptoms.
Whatever the case you should definately go back to your GP.
Good luck

Have you tried a Neti pot? It is going to sound weird but if spores are what is getting into your sinuses and causing problems then physically getting rid of them would be a better answer than continues medication. Its worth a try for something new and has worked for me and a few members of my family. Good Luck

Find another doctor. And find out what you're allergic to so you can set about getting it out of your environment.
Good luck.
