I've tried that before...and I have medium brown hair and i really didn't see a difference. I went to the beach one day with it in my hair for about 8 hours and you really didn't see that big of a difference. I personally think its a waste of time. Sorry :(
I agree with the peroxide answer above me..it works MUCHHH better

First you have to sqeeze the lemon juice from the lemon. Then you have to paint or mix it in your hair, depending if you want highlights or lighter hair in general. Put a showere cap on your head, and leave it on for 15-20 minutes, while sitting in the sun. Then Blowdry your hair, leave in for one night. The next day take a shower. Try to stay in the sun as much as you can, and it will stay light for months, but usually you have to do this once a month.

Lemon juice will minimally lighten your hair, but only if you go out in the sun. Lemons will lighten fine hair best. If your hair is a light brown shade or darker, lemons can turn your hair orange. Instead of lemons, it is best to use over-the-counter hair color. Hair color contains toners and conditioners that will consistently keep your color in check and hair in great condition.

Use 'real' lemon juice, from the lemon (NOT real lemon, the product), and sit in the sun.
It doesn't take that long, so i would go gradually.
It depends on how bright the sun is and how light you want to get your hair.
Remember that lemon is acdic, so you would want to moisturized your hair really well after using it, ie hot oil treatment.

I tried this several times. I left it in for long lengths while in the shower and sometimes did it in the morning and at night because I wanted quicker results. I found that when I used it and then was also in the sun more, it lighted up a lot quicker. I would say it took me about a month to get the lightest it could get, but it was not blonde.

If you sit in the sun with the lemon juice on your head, it will lighten in a few days. When in the sun, respray your hair often to keep it moist.

I tried this many times in my teens, and I ever got was dry hair. My hair was already blond just a dirty dishwasher blond. I had to resort to hair color, and have done it ever since. I hope it works for you, but have my doubts!
