Why is it that most men do not have much of a clue when it comes to women?

I think a lot of it is communication, and how men and women communicate differently.
Guys talk to exchange information. Women talk to bond. Therefore, when women are talking, men are hearing the information, not the subtext. (other women understand that, so it works.)
There. how was THAT for an over-generalization?

Because you let them. Just because the words are coming out of a pretty face doesn't mean you have to do what they say. A woman will push as far as she can to get what she wants. To find a clue you should study them a little bit, make friends with a female and hang out with her, ask questions and maybe do a little light flirting without actually trying to get into her panties (even though thats probably where you'll end up but thats not your mission). You'd be surprised how helpful 1 chick can be in helping a guy catch another. Anyway, try it out and let me know if it works for you because it did for me. Another thing, DO NOT FEAR THE FEMALE ANIMAL, SHE CAN ONLY HURT YOUR PRIDE! Don't be intimidated by the thought of being shot down and that'll take half the mystery out of her. I don't know why most guys are 'average and frustrated'. I know that they get 'taken advantage of' b/c they allow women to do that to them. And if you let women do that to you, we can smell it and we will never respect you.
Most men do not have a clue when it comes to women b/c men do not pay attention to the women in their lives.

men don't listen to their women enough...which is why not only do they not have a clue, but get taken advantage of...more often than not a woman will try 3 or 4 different ways of getting a point across, and if that doesn't work we then realize that it is a selfish relationship and the goals change...leading to one or the other person being used, lied to, or taken advantage of...

If the people who frequent the chat rooms are any indication, my vote goes to a lack of social skills. It's amazing how crude, rude and uncouth a lot of people seem to be these days, both men and women. It's pretty hard to sort out the bad apples when you have no point of reference to start from!

Women are more intelligent in relationships then men. They share more,talk more and since they are little girls confide in each other,unlike men.

Because they let them. Pure and simple. Those who let women take bad advantage of them do so in hopes that by being her whipping boy she will reward him with love and sex. This very rarely happens. Being a slave to a woman is slef defeating and disrespectful to one's self.
