use your arms to hold yourself on the rope while you rap your feet around the rope. bend your legs a little. then with either your right or left foot, step on the opposite foot with the rope inbetween and extend your legs. this is much easyer than trying to me muscle man and just using your arms

Over hand pull while using legs for a long distance
If you have arm strength hand over hand- speed kills
