I don't hate anyone and only dislike those that have given me good personal reason to. I prefer to look at people for who they are and not define them by one factor such as their age, their gender, their race, their sexuality or their religion.

"What it is",
I am a Christian and I do NOT hate anyone. I know there are Christians who have those feelings but they certainly are NOT following what is written in the Gospels. I love people but there are all kinds of "Agnostics". The term Agnostic means that you are not certain whether there is a GOD or not. I seemed to be in that category for a short time also. Keep searching and you will eventually go to one side of the fence or the other, I believe. Have a wonderful day!
Thank you,
Eds

My thoughts on agnostics? The same as anyone else - depends on the person. I think individuals should be seen as just that - individuals.

I am an agnostic - an agnostic atheist. Agnosticism, as a philosophy concerning knowledge, standing alone as a position on the spectrum of belief makes no sense to me... but that's me.

PS - You have an awesome avatar! :)

You aren't an agnostic because you choose to be an agnostic. By the definition of agnostic, you just aren't sure or you feel that you don't have enough information to decide.

I love agnostics, I used to be one. As a Christian, not in name only, but in fact a follower of Jesus Christ, I do my best to love everyone. So if you were an atheist, I'd still love you. If you were a Buddhist, I'd love you. If you hated me, I'd still love you.

Why? Because God loves you and I love God, I am called to love all of the people He loves.

It's as simple as that.

I'm fairly convinced that we're all agnostics, just with varying levels of deception. Theists claim they're certain about something without evidence, atheists claim they're certain about something because there's no evidence... in both cases, belief without evidence is required. In the second case, it's not possible to disprove something beyond the material world just because there's no evidence for it. By nature, there would be no evidence in the material world. Having no reason to believe in something does not mean it's impossible... just not worth believing. It's frustrating when atheists claim their logic is flawless yet do not understand negative proofs and the like.

Yes, I know that we all have "faith" in what is around us so that we can continue living, but this is part of the material world and is necessary for our lives. Why affirm or deny supernatural existence just because it cannot be perceived? Your lives don't change if you take the stance of uncertainty. You're just being logical.

When it comes to traditional Western concepts of God, you can usually disprove them by their own words. They contradict themselves. So in some cases, it IS possible to disprove God, but not all. Being an atheist does not mean you use logic, but many do... so I just wish that those people could take the final step in logic on this matter.

Agnostic refers to a person who dose not beleive in God because he dose not know him. how can such a person be hated? Arn't all Babies Agnostics by definition?
When you enter the age of self knowledge and self determination-about 10 years old, you look around and you say "Wow! Look What somebody made for me to enjoy!"
That is where knowledge starts to be come what makes you later.
Knowledge. Read the Bible and then decide. don't let others tell you what to think. Look around you and see that it requires a thinking being to create as it is.

Most agnostics I know are pretty cool. They are the last group to get all in your face.

i don't think anything about a group of people as a whole. i go by the individuals.

and since i know nothing about you, i'll have to abstain from this question :)

if you mean agnoticism itself, meh, no real opinion. it means you are open-minded which i like, but other than that, no opinion really.

and craig: i could say the exact same thing about religious people you know. the only difference is that atheists actually DO see the facts, verifiable facts, whereas the religious see only the "facts" they want to.

Love you. You're smart enough not to close your mind toward the idea of God, just not convinced yet.

The problem with atheists is that it takes so much faith to be an atheist that it's hard for them to see facts. They're pretty locked in and emotionally committed.

Humans, in general, seem to be very caught up in NEEDING to be right and have the correct answers. I respect anyone who has the courage to openly admit that they don't know or aren't sure.
