I am planning on moving to Ireland and i would just like to know what it takes to rent a house in Ireland?

It is not difficult. You will need to have enough money to pay a deposit usually about 800 - 1000 euro in advance and also a month's rent in advance. Rent will vary depending on whether you want to live in Dublin or elsewhere and whether you want a house or an apartment. Houses near the Dart line (rail transport in Dublin) or near public transport are normally a bit dearer to rent. Rent can be quite high, e.g. a two bedroom apartment in Dublin near the Luas can cost 1100 euro per month but you could get something for less than that. If you are on your own it is also possible to share a house with two or three others, e.g. Maynooth (a university town 12 miles approx from Dublin city but on the rail line) 380 a month to share.
I would advise you to use an agency and not be afraid to ask them if the area you are looking at is an ok one. Good luck

Take photographs of the house when you move in, inside and out, and send copies to the landlord via e-mail with received mail message.
Insist on a rent book in which all payments (cash or cheque) are recorded and signed for. Otherwise pay your rent by standing order through the bank.
Insist on a receipt for your deposit.
Insist on a contract also. Make clear what you will pay for, but generally speaking the landlord is responsible for the upkeep of the property.
Some landlords are shifty feckers who will fleece the clothes off your back. Just so you're warned, like.

A lot of places need references etc. But the general rule is 2 months rent upfront and make a good impression.

no it is not hard to rent.
as long as you are able to pay the rental deposit and a months rent in advance they don't really care about what job you do.and that you are able to pay your monthly rent after that.
rent will depend on where you plan on moving to
it can vary from about 250 euro to 400 euro per month
cities are generally dearer then places outside the cities
