Sometimes I think when I am down in the dumps and feeling like the whole world is mis treating me, it makes me physically sick.
Lately, I have been having major aches and pains, headaches , my teeth hurt. I am tired, but when I go to bed, I cannot sleep, or I can go to sleep and then wake up in 1 or 2 hours. I am energyless, I dread going to work or do housework. I dont feel like doing anything except being really despondant about my situation in life right now. On the other hand, I think I may have viral symptoms. My upper jaw bones hurt.
I dont want to talk about it to my physician or discuss it with my family out of shame. What should I do?
PS: I had this really bloody dental cleaning about 3 weeks ago and my teeth hurt really bad afterwards to the point I almost could not eat. Now my upper teeth are sensitive to cold and hurt, so that may be legitimate pain.
Hope you dont think I am nuts

Based on your symptoms, you do sound depressed. Here is what you should do....

1. Make an appointment with your primary care physician/nurse practitioner or other medical professional. Get a complete checkup, including blood work. Many things can cause depressive symptoms including problems with the thyroid, infections, fibromyalgia, chronic fatigue syndrome, diabetes, etc. Do whatever you need to do to take care of any physical health issues.

2. Let me assume here that you don't have any physical problems after you get a checkup--get a referral to a counseling center/community mental health agency/ psychiatrist. These people are specifically trained to treat depression and other mental health issues--too many people think, just put 'em on antidepressants, and that'll do 'em. It doesn't quite work that way and a person should go to people who know this business if they are serious about getting better. Get some medications and then get some counseling/psychotherapy from someone who is trained in cognitive behavioral therapy (this is the gold standard for therapy for depression today).

I hope this is helpful...good luck on getting better.

It's all depression and anxiety related. Sometimes anxiety can make you feel some weird **** physically. You need to get on medication to help it. It will get better once taken. Expect up to 4 weeks to actually start working though.

Depression also leads to physical pain. It puts stress on you and your body also wants to give up with you. Maybe you should get checked out. It's better than staying in pain all the time. Come on, it's for your own good.
