no. that's a silly myth.

but what it does depend on is location and the artist. if you're gettin tattooed in a sensitive, ticklish, or boney area it's gonna hurt, and some artists aren't so gentle.

Not really, it just depends on your level of pain tolorance, the placement of the tattoo, and how much you are having colored in. I got my whole tattoo colored in (it's about 6" high and wide) and it felt like someone was cutting my skin with a dull knife, but after it was done it was well worth the pain. The color doesnt matter tough, its just sitting there longer knowing that the damn outline is done and the color takes longer to do.

No, it's all done with a needle, the color makes no difference. The coloring part actually hurts less because there are more needles. The outline, a single needle, is actually a little more painful.

People may say this b/c it takes longer to color it in than just outline it. The coloring part is not as intense, but it does require sitting for more time.

It is not that the color hurts more, it is how much more shading and coloring must be done... my tattoo's didnt hurt and one of them is BIG and is all color...

Of cours not. Only the needle hurts you, not the ink. But it's not a big pain I remember.
